Carrying the Torch: The Legacy of Legacy Solutions
Tamika Price

From Afrocentric fashions to herbal products, her business was a hub of culture and community. But more than anything, Tina’s Place was driven by her belief in creating a “legacy for life” and “generational wealth”—phrases she used long before they became popular buzzwords. For her, these weren’t just catchy slogans. They were promises. Promises that the work she did today would make a better tomorrow for her family and others.
Her motto, “Live, Laugh, Love, Learn” was her way of reminding us to embrace life fully, find joy in every moment, lead with love and keep growing. It’s a mantra that still echoes in everything I do.
A Legacy of Service and Resilience
Then there’s my father, James Price. He was a man of honor and perseverance. As an Army war veteran, he served his country with courage and dignity. After his military service, he broke barriers, becoming the first African American warehouse facilities manager for Brunschwig and Fils Inc. His ability to rise through hard work, build trusted relationships, and lead with integrity is something I’ve always admired.
It was in New York that my parents met—a visionary accounting graduate and a barrier-breaking veteran. Together, they built a life rooted in resilience, ambition, and an unshakeable commitment to creating opportunities for others.
Growing up in their shadow, I saw firsthand what it meant to work with purpose, serve with pride, and dream big. And as their eldest child, I knew it was my responsibility to carry their torch forward.
The Birth of Legacy Solutions
Legacy Solutions isn’t just a business—it’s the continuation of everything my parents stood for. It’s about honoring their hard work, values, and the sacrifices they made for their family. When I started Price Family Legacy, LLC, doing business as Legacy Solutions, I wanted to create something that mirrored their commitment to service and excellence.
Our focus on government contracting in the cleaning and janitorial space, as well as residential cleanouts, isn’t just about cleaning spaces. It’s about creating environments where people can thrive. It’s about reliability, trust, and going the extra mile to ensure our clients feel supported. Whether we’re preparing an apartment for a family’s new beginning or maintaining a government facility, we approach every project with the same dedication my parents showed in their lives and work.
Why Legacy Matters
“Legacy” is more than just a name to me. It’s a promise. A promise to my parents. A promise to my children. A promise to every client we serve. It’s the belief that what we do today should have a positive impact on tomorrow.
At Legacy Solutions, we prioritize sustainability because it aligns with this promise. Eco-friendly cleaning methods and responsible practices are not just good for business—they’re good for the future. We want to be a partner that not only meets your immediate needs but also contributes to a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable world.
We also pride ourselves on our reliability. We understand that in the world of government contracting and property management, trust is everything. That’s why we deliver excellence every time, ensuring our clients know they can count on us.
Carrying the Torch Forward
As I reflect on how far we’ve come, I can’t help but feel grateful. Grateful for my parents, who taught me the value of hard work and service. Grateful for the opportunity to continue their legacy. And grateful for the clients and partners who trust us to help them achieve their goals.
My mother used to say, “Live, Laugh, Love, Learn.” And that’s exactly what we’re doing here at Legacy Solutions. We’re living our mission, learning from every experience, finding joy in serving our clients, and leading with love in everything we do.
To our clients, partners, and community: thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we’re building a legacy—one solution at a time.

When I think about what Legacy Solutions means to me, I can’t help but go back to my roots. The story of this company is not just about a business. It’s about a family, a legacy, and the values instilled in me by two incredible individuals: my parents, Ernestine and James Price.
In the 1990s, my mother, Tina, was a woman ahead of her time. A bold entrepreneur with a degree in accounting, she started Tina’s Place, a vendor business that did more than just provide for our family. It became a symbol of empowerment and possibility.
